In 2010, the Edgecombe County Board of Commissioners, the Nash County Board of Commissioners, and the Rocky Mount City Council jointly funded an effort that has been termed “The Twin County Competitiveness Study”. This effort has served to evaluate the two-county region and to provide an overview of the information that companies and individuals find when they research this region. The study was conducted by Dr. James Johnson of the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Johnson will present a summary of his findings to the public on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 5:30 pm, in the Theatre at the Imperial Centre for the Arts & Sciences [270 Gay Street, Rocky Mount, NC].
The Edgecombe County Board of Commissioners, the Nash County Board of Commissioners, and the Rocky Mount City Council invite all residents and media organizations of the Twin Counties to attend this important presentation. Attendees will hear an update on this collaborative effort to evaluate and improve the economic competitiveness of the Twin Counties.
