Challenger Allen Thomas beat Greenville Mayor Pat Dunn with all precincts reporting in Tuesday’s election.
Thomas had 4,323 votes to Dunn’s 4,131, in unofficial totals from the Pitt County Board of Elections. Robert O’Neal had 162 votes.
