The Campus Echo, the student-led newspaper at North Carolina Central University, continued its domination of the National HBCU Student News Media Conference Excellence in Journalism Contest awards, earning 16 awards this year. The six first-place and seven second-place awards set a conference record. The publication also received four awards from the North Carolina College Media Association. (Read more)
