Congressman G.K. Butterfield gave a moment in education as he told the audience how he began as a Congressman and where he stand today. He gave an overview of what is going on in Washington and how the American people are being mislead by that other party as it relates to balancing the budget. Interesting. The one that is the most interesting is the Rocky Mount City Council Ward 1 race. Here we go again white folks on WHIG TV having a ball with talking about the incumbent. Too damn funny. Was checking them out on the morning show yesterday Jerry Fisher and that other dude was just ignant when it came to the challenger inviting them to his press conference in front of his house. The leader of a group opposed to a proposed chicken processing plant in Nash County is challenging a two-term incumbent for a seat on the county’s Board of Commissioners.

Democrat Bert Daniel, co-chairman of the Nash County Landowners Association, was among a slew of candidates who filed to run for various public offices Monday during the first day of the candidate filing period. (More)

Congressman G.K. Butterfield to announce his campaign kick-off at the Booker T. Washington Center Rocky Mount NC at Monday, February 13, 2012 4:00 PM.

Congressman will kick-off his campaign in Greenville earlier on Monday morning. He will kick-off his campaign in Durham later in the week on Friday evening.
