Lets Play the Blame Game by Michelle Vann Blogtalk Radio

Posted by Curmilus Dancy II (Butch) on November 22, 2009

Who’s to blame? You might be asking this question from the aftermath at FT Hood. However, if you look at what has been allowed with other government officials you might get the answer you don’t want to hear. Many times the signs were always there and the evidence but we choose not to accept it. Media sources are coming out of the wood work and reporting on the life and behavior of Maj Nidel Malik Hasan. They mention a lot on his affiliations to other terrorist type organizations, religion, internet sites etc. I have heard that one of his affiliations may have been linked to terrorist abroad. So many have come to the conclusion that authorities knew of his affiliations that may have instigated his efforts in killing 13 people in America. Whether aggregated by PTSD or not they see him as being anti American and the rest is left up to Fox news and other media sources to exploit this soldiers allegiance to his country.

Yet, one thing we can agree on is that they knew. What did they know they know of his interactions of praying and giving social blessings as good manners, his beliefs against the war. What else did the FBI and other authorities know that he had a separatist belief system in placed based on his social connections. Were they neglectful to keep him in a government position based on the birds that he flocked with. In my opinion, I would have to say yes. It doesn’t just start or end with this major. There are other government officials that hold office and are members of hate groups in this country. Should this be allowed? Being in a position that serves the public or any government positions shouldn’t there be some guidelines. Should government officials like Rep Joe Wilson and possibly others be allowed to be part of hate groups and other radical organizations while serving in office that is meant to serve all Americans. How could this be? Who would be to blame if Rep Joe Wilson got so dam mad as a heckler that launched off to take a position on white power and killed the very one he heckled or a bunch of immigrants or black folks. They never saw it coming with this Maj Nidel Malik Hasan. They saw his connections and social ties and could infer from his belief system, right?

While this Maj had ties to extremist organizations we on the other hand Joe Wilson and other government officials doing the same. Rep Joe Wilson is a member of the SCV (The Sons of Confederate Veterans) which is on the list as a hate group and to think any government officials/soldier would be allowed to be a part of terroristic and radical groups whether here or abroad is irresponsible. Blame your leaders, blame congress for allowing this sort accept ion.

You never know we still don’t know enough about Alkida nor do any other American terrorist groups that ran around lynching, burning homes down, oppressing blowing up churches, etc. The Sons of Confederate Veteran that Joe Wilson is a member of defended the Ku Klux Klan and argued that the United States was created "for white people," and complained that "when a Negro has learned to read he ceases to work." But the SCV had few members, and had so declined by 1932 that the newsletter ceased publication.

In 1953, the SCV came under the control of William McCain, later the president of Southern Mississippi State University (the institution has since been renamed the University of Southern Mississippi). At the time, the SCV had 30 "camps," or local chapters, 1,000 members and $1,053 in the bank.

By the time he died in 1993, McCain had restarted the Confederate Veteran, pushed SCV membership to more than 18,000, so just don’t concern yourself with the Major Hasan’s sleeper cells we apparently have lots of others right here in the good ole USA. Hardened segregationist and staunch supporter of the Mississippi State Sovereignty Commission, the notorious government agency created to spy on and undermine the civil rights movement, lord knows what else they would do. What they didn’t do was protect those soldiers on Ft. Hood from another government member who had known ties and belief system separate from uniting America. Just like Rep Joe Wilson and others holding a government position Major Hasan maintained a belief system and a social network that obviously meant so much to him that taken another’s life would justify his actions. They knew and didn’t protect. Just like they knew speeches had been given by the SCV that Joe Wilson represents that stated "We insist that educationally and socially, we maintain a segregated society. … In all fairness, I admit that we are not encouraging Negro voting," he said. "The Negroes prefer that control of the government remain in the white man’s hands." In maybe in the words of Major Hasan in the hands of Allah. So who’s to blame, while they ignore these extremist affiliations of government employees, officials. Maybe we should blame ourselves, write your congressman and tell them this should be bill. This should not be ignored because in the aftermath of Ft. Hood, and the past history of other hate groups, acceptance and ignorance can cause great harm.  I am sorry for the lost of those families.

Some would say that what we are seeing now with several mobilized organiztions, tea baggers is no different than  what we saw back in the civil right era. People are busting into town hall meetings, hanging lynched pictures of congressman and attacking folks over political difference. Some are using the political points as a cloak to hide their real motives. Propoganda and fearmongering among republican politions and radio host can be heard  instingating civil war and violent protest by any means necessary. All across the US of A, so called Right Wing Conservatives groups are looking for an excuse to interupting town hall meetins to protest from everything from health care reform to whether the President is really American. Political violence has taken place in the streets because Rush Limbaugh and others incite the belief that the man (aka government) is going to take us down and put us in camps. Alot of the talk sounds like Greek Mytholigy.  Not much other than sagging pants with these  conservative gansters than the traditionally gangsta. Violence or threat of it is the same.  Once we gave the black panthers a bad rap for standing up for thier political views and giving dissent and now the same sentiment is now being echoed by Right Wingers who threaten to stop the government by any means necessary and bust a cap in anybody who gets in their way.  Seems like the GOP are creating a down home Alkida from the heart of the Mississipi to stomping ground of LA.  Even the police is jumping on the bandwagon busting heads of poor little old ladies walking with a butter knife, alzhiemer and cane. Lots to think and talk about family join us tonight.
