n the middle of a contentious debate in Raleigh over a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage, a professionally dressed gentleman sat in a hallway Monday with a plaintive sign: “How does this get me a job?”
The N.C. General Assembly has passed a bill to put the amendment before state voters next year. North Carolina more than likely will join 30 other states in passing a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage.
