Roosevelt Higgs addresses the Edgecombe County Board of Elections during monthly meeting

During the public comments Roosevelt Higgs addressed the Edgecombe County Board of Elections asking them to address the issue of the NC Court of Appeals findings in the Rocky Mount City Councilman Andre Knight residency issue.

Higgs asked the board to deal with the appeal because he will be appointed to the Board of Elections later this year and when that happens the appeal will be null and void. He said he wanted the board to follow the order from the courts.

First of all, who in the hell do Higgs thinks he is. He stated publicly last year that Rev. Thomas L. Walker was going to put him on the board. Well Walker do not have a vote in the matter since he is not on the Edgecombe County Democartic Party Executive Committee.

Higgs is also seeking support to run for the office of the Edgecombe County Democratic Party County Chair which is up for election next month in April.

I have voting rights and can voice my opinions during the Edgecombe County Democratic Party meetings now since I am a Precinct Chair. I will challenge the party to elect and to appoint folks who are not convicted criminals and do not have the best interest of the party at heart.
